James Michael Porter

Mr. James Michael Porter, age 53, died Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Chester Regional Medical Center. Graveside service will be 4:00 PM Tuesday at Chester Memorial Gardens with Rev. John Porter officiating. Mr. Porter was born in Chester a son of Barbara Jean Simmons Porter and the late James Vernon Porter. He attended Chester Schools and was formerly employed with Color Knitting Company of Charlotte, NC. Survivors include his mother: Barbara S. Porter of Chester, SC; two brothers, Gary Porter of Chester, SC and Scott Porter of Calhoun Falls, SC and his adopted family,the Raymond McCloud family of Chester, SC The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 3:45 PM Tuesday at Barron Funeral Home.
