Chester: Mr. James Owens "Sonny" McDaniel, 73, died Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Harris officiating.Interment will follow in Union Cemetery in Richburg.The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 10:45 AM on Tuesday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Mr. McDaniel was born in Chester on November 2, 1937 and was a son of the late Thomas Martin and Nevada Wylie McDaniel.He attended the schools of Chester County and was employed as an auto mechanic with Chester County.He attended the Lando Church of God. He is survived by a brother, William T. McDaniel of Richburg; a sister, Margaret McDaniel Bigham of Chester; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian McDaniel Lyndsey.
