James Raymond Mccloud, Jr.

James Raymond McCloud, Jr., 70, died Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC. A visitation will be held at Jimbo's home Sunday, February 11, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM. The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date. Born in Lockhart, SC on November 6, 1953, Jimbo, was a son of the late James Raymond McCloud, Sr. and Wanda Griggs McCloud. He was a graduate Chester High School and a veteran of the US Marines having served during the Vietnam War. Mr. McCloud was an AVID South Carolina Gamecock Fan (Go Gamecocks!) and a golfer. He is survived by two sisters, Debra D. McCloud of Rock Hill, SC and Karen M. Wooten of Winnsboro, SC; one brother, Wayne O. McCloud (Terry) of Chester, SC; one niece, Melissa R. McCloud (James) of York, SC; five nephews, Wayne O. "Dell" McCloud, Jr (Whitney) of Rock Hill, SC, Gregory R. Close of Rock Hill, SC, Michael McCloud (Chelsea) of Lockhart, SC, Blake Wooten of Winnsboro, SC and Jackson R. Roach of Rock Hill, SC; his companion, Jeri Enix of Chester, SC; best friend and favorite cousin, Julie McCloud of Chester, SC; forever friends, Vicki Stultz, Joey Stalnaker, Warren "Colie" Lathrop, Tim Mabry and Wayne Gibson all of Chester, SC.
