CHESTER: James H. ?Jim? Lynch, 76, of 773 Grants Lake Circle died Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at his home.A celebration of his life will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 21, 2009 at Armenia United Methodist Church with Jim?s cousin Reverend Kenneth B. Bobo of Spartanburg officiating, assisted by Reverend Harry Gindhart of Armenia U.M.C. and Reverend Clint Davis of Chester A.R.P. Church. Interment will follow in Chester Memorial Gardens. Born in Laurens County, SC, on March 26, 1933, he was the son of the late Walter F. Lynch of Mountville, SC and the late Carrie Bobo Lynch of Union, SC. Jim grew up in Union, SC. He graduated from Union High School in 1952. After serving in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954 where he was stationed in Germany, he returned home and attended the University of South Carolina. He was a loyal member of the Gamecock club for over 41 consecutive years. He was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church and a faithful member of Armenia United Methodist Church where he taught the Men?sSunday School class for many years. He was retired from Cone Mills where he spent his entire professional career of 39 years at Carlisle Finishing Plant. He was a member of Chester Masonic Lodge #18 and HejazShrine,past president of Chester Shrine Club and treasurer for thirteen years. He is survived by his wife, Nell Atkinson Schulte Lynch, with whom he shared 35 years of happiness, three loving step-children, Patti Schulte Brakefield, James B. Schulte and his wife Jonnie, and Alan L. Schulte and his wife Pam all of Rock Hill, SC, a sister Doris Lynch Jones and her husband Everett of Mount Pleasant, SC, eight grandchildren, Brad, Kyle, Shea, Bo, Kate, Al ll, Elizabeth and Taylor, three great-grandchildren, Sarah, Miles, and Camille, his niece, Ann Driggers and her husband Steve and two great nieces, Hallie and Chana.
