Chester: James E. ?Jim? Hinson, 78, died Friday, July 27, 2011 at his home in Chester, SC.A memorial service will beheld at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC with Rev. David Sealy officiating.The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 AM on Tuesday at Barron Funeral Home prior to the service.Burial will be private at Evergreen Cemetery in Chester. Jim was born in 1933 in Great Falls and was a son of the late John Wesley and Blanche Stoll Hinson.He served his country in the U.S. Army with the 82nd Airborne Division during the Korean conflict.Jim was a retired car salesman and was known by many people in the Rock Hill and Chester area.He attended Calvary Baptist Church. He is survived by his brother, Kenneth R. Hinson and wife Barbara of Pawleys Island, SC; a nephew, Scott Hinson and wife Nicole of Sumemrville, SC; nieces, Wilma Edwards and husband Richard of Fort Mill and Linda Morgan and husband Gary of Mt. Holly, NC; a step-son, Butch Burton and wife Billie of Chester; and two grandsons, Mark and Dylan Burton.He was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Hill Hinson and a brother, John Wesley Hinson.
