Bennington, VT: James Glenn Hewitt, 81, died January 5, 2013 at the Veterans Home in Bennington, Vermont.A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, January 25, 2013 at Evergreen Cemetery with Reverend Steve Bishopofficiating. Mr. Hewitt was born on September 27, 1931 in Shelby, North Carolina. He was a son of the late Percy James Hewitt and Myrtle Beatrice Barber Hewitt. He is survived by his daughter Glenda Susan Thornburg and her husband Richard ; son Stephen Douglas and wife Cheryl Culp and their mother Ruth Ivester all of Indian Trail, NC,Also daughter Brenda Louise and husband Larry Workman and son Larry Allan Hewitt all of California Sisters Ruby Louise Hewitt and husband Glenn Parker of Lincolnton, North Carolina, Peggy Joyce Hewitt and husband Roy Lee of Greenville, South Carolina, Edith Shirley Hewitt and husband Gene Cooper of Chester, South Carolina.
