James Wesley "Buck" Gwin

Chester James Wesley “Buck” Gwin, 88, of Chester, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at his residence. A native of Great Falls, he was son of the late Ernest Gwin and Bessie Hinson Gwin Wilson. Mr. Gwin was the owner/operator of G & E Superette. He was a veteran of the US Navy and served in the US Merchant Marines. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Ben Plyer Sunday School Class. Surviving are his wife Virginia “Ginny” Gwin; two daughters Carol Robinson (husband Bruce) of Blythewood, and Connie Spencer (husband Billy) of Chesterfield; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Decmeber 6, at 11:00am at the First Baptist Church with Reverend Clay Waldrip officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00am Saturday prior to the service.
