James Eugene Blanks

Edgemoor, SC: Mr. James Eugene Blanks, 49, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. A celebration of life service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Linda Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the sanctuary of the church. Born March 8, 1968 in San Antonio, TX, Mr. Blanks was a son of James A. Blanks, Jr and Barbara Mabry Blanks. He was a graduate of Lewisville High School and attended Limestone College. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served during the Gulf War and was employed with Verizon Wireless as a service technician. He was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir. James loved music. In addition to his parents he is survived by two sons, Eric Blanks of Paris Island, SC and Matthew Blanks of Edgemoor; two nephews, Austin Blanks and Logan Blanks both of Edgemoor.
