Chester Mr. James Alexander Barron, 75, died Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at Chester Regional Nursing Center.A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 5, 2014, at Evergreen Cemetery in Chester, SC with Rev. Clint Davis and Dr. Dwight Pearson officiating.The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service. Mr. Barron was born July 21, 1939 in Charlotte, NC and was a son of the late James I. Barron and Dorothy Betts Barron Clayton.He was a graduate of Chester High School and attended Erskine College and Presbyterian Jr. College.Mr. Barron was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from Wrico Stamping Company.He was a member of Chester ARP Church.Jimmy enjoyed fishing, swimming, aerobics class at the YMCA and Indy car racing. He is survived by his wife of more than nine years, Joyce Knight Pethel; one daughter, Tyson Barron Dandridge (Michael) of Charlton, Mass.; one step-son, Chris Stevenson of Rock Hill, SC; three grandchildren, Barron Dandridge, Julia Dandridge, and Troy Dandridge all of Charlton, Mass; two sisters, Jerry Barron Stringfellow of Chester, SC and Dottie Aimar of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one brother, Bill Barron of Spartanburg, SC; and a cousin, Anna Whitesides (Larry) of Clover, SC. Memorials may be made to Chester ARP Church, P.O.
