JBlythewood, SC: James William "Jimmy"Banks, Jr., 65, died Monday, January 9, 2012 at Oliver�s Care Home in Blythewood, SC. A Graveside Service will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Beaver Creek Baptist Church Cemeterywith Reverend Keith Hinson and Mr. Roger Braswellofficiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday Evening, January 11, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Barron Funeral Home and all other times at the home of John McManus, 12173 Old Douglas Road, Blackstock, SC. Mr. Banks was born in Chester County, SC on September 10, 1946. He was a son of the late James William Banks, Sr. and Viola Laura Dove Banks. He was a graduate of Chester High School, a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during Vietnam and a member of Woodward Baptist Church.Mr. Banks was formerly employed with Braswell Landscaping of Rock Hill, SC. He is survived by one son, James Nelson Banksand his fiancé Wendy Hawkins and two grandchildren, Caleb and Aaron Grigg all of Lyman and one sister Helen B.
