Jacquelyn Russell Tarr

Chester Mrs. Jacquelyn Russell Tarr, 88, died Monday, June 19, 2023, at her home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Orrs Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Wightman and Rev. Randall Runion officiating. Interment will follow in Chester Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday at Orrs Baptist Church, 1266 Lancaster Rd., Chester, SC. Mrs. Tarr was born September 19, 1934 in Erie, Pennsylvania and was a daughter of the late Theodore C. Russell and Lois Valentine Russell. She was a retired registered nurse. Jacque was a member of Orrs Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was involved with the visitation program. She also enjoyed golf and was active in the Eastern Star in her earlier years. She is survived by four children, Kenneth Tarr of Chester, SC, Kerry Tarr (Susan) of Knoxville, TN, Russell Tarr (Polly) of Ponce Inlet, FL and Richard Tarr (Donna) of Orlando, FL; twelve grandchildren, Myka (Lalo), Zachary (Tabitha), Jereme (Sarah), Jacquelyn (Brant), Alexander, Joseph, Shannon (Omar), Jennica, Bethanie, Nathan (Sarah), Ashley and Katy; eighteen great grandchildren; one brother, James (Skip) Doerner (Julie) of Ashland, OH; one sister, Donna Doerner Palmer of Marshville, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
