Jackie Ray "Jack" Weddle

Great Falls Mr. Jackie Ray “Jack” Weddle, 82, died Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Springs Memorial Hospital.Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced for a later date. Mr. Weddle was born November 26, 1935 in Caretta, West Virginia and was the son of the late Victor Arlyss Weddle and Nellie Mae Folden Weddle.He was a graduate of Pulaski High School, Pulaski, VA and attended Wingate University in Wingate, NC and also furthered his education while employed with NASA.Mr. Weddle was self-employed as a systems analyst.He was very active in the Albemarle Recreation Softball League for 70 to 80 years old senior adults and regularly attended the senior games in Raleigh, NC. He is survived by his wife of over 58 years, Carolyn Taylor Weddle; one daughter, Shelley Weddle of Great Falls; one son, Mike Weddle (Carol) of Mint Hill, NC; three grandchildren, Jacob Helms (Amanda) of Waxhaw, NC, Amy Darracott (Brian) of Fuquay-Varina, NC and Ashley Weddle of Charlotte, NC; four great grandchildren, Lucas Helms, Jaxon Helms, Colton Helms and Scarlet Darracott; two brothers, Bill Weddle (Linda) of Elizabethton, TN and Joseph Weddle (Kathy) of Pulaski, VA; and two sisters, Carol Bias (Bob) of Murfreesboro, TN and Linda Parsons (Jerry) of Gate City, VA.
