Lando, SC: Jack Donald Hefner, 83, died Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House Rock Hill, SC. A funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Lando Church of God with Reverend Jerry Barrineau, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening, September 26, 2022 from 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barron Funeral Home. Jack was born on March 11, 1939 in Lando, SC and was a son of the late Manuel Bascem Hefner and Ella Lucille McGarity. He attended Lewisville High School and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Jack was retired as an electrician with Industrial Construction Companies. He attended Lando Church of God. He was an avid fisherman. In addition to his parents, Jack is preceded in death by his first wife, Judy G. Hefner, his second wife, Robin B, Hefner and his brother, Robert Hefner. He is survived by his wife, Joyce M. Hefner; his daughter, Sylvia "Sam" Curtis (Kent) of Richburg, SC; two grandsons, Jack K. Curtis of Richburg and Steven "Trey" McGarity of Rock Hill, SC; one great granddaughter, Ellie Grace Curtis of Richburg, SC; one brother, Johnny A. "Johnny Boy" Hefner "Peggy" of Lancaster, SC, numerous nieces and nephews; step-daughter, Annette Blackwell (Gary) of Chester, SC; step-son Wayne McGarity (Beth) of Blackstock, SC; granddaughters, Angel and Jessica Blackwell both of Chester, SC; grandsons, Steven and Andrew McGarity both of Blackstock, SC and great-grandson Elijah Lewis of Blackstock, SC.
