Chester Mr. J.W. Campbell, 84, died on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill.The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Chester Freedom Ministries with Rev. Steve Bishop and Rev. Bill Stallings officiating.The interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, March 28, 2016 at Barron Funeral Home and other times at the home of Bobby and Robin Raines, 929 Edgewood Circle, Chester, SC. Born January 27, 1932 in Chester County, SC, Mr. Campbell was a son of the late Edward Leonard Campbell and Virginia Gaston Campbell.He was a graduate of the schools of Chester County and was retired from Springs Industries and retired owner of Campbell Construction.He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp.Mr. Campbell was a member of Christian Freedom Ministries and Hilltop Cruisers.He loved antique cars and was an avid Gamecock fan. He is survived by his son Buzzy Campbell (Debbie) of Rock Hill; one daughter, Robin Raines (Bobby) of Chester; two grandchildren, Jennifer Lynne Raines of Chester and Stephen Raines (Maggie) of Blackstock; two sisters, Minnie Jane Campbell (Boyce) and Frances Ferrell (Harvey) both of Chester; and numerous nieces and nephews.
