Mrs. Iva Grant Woods, 103, died Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the Chester Regional Nursing Center in Chester.The funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday at New Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. Lois Helms, Rev. David Sealy, Rev. Chris Snelgrove and Rev. Irvin Plowden officiating.The interment will be in New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6:00 ? 8:00 PM Friday at Barron Funeral Home. Born November 14, 1907 in Chester County, SC, Mrs. Woods was the daughter of the late Ambrose Alexander Grant and Ella Myra White Grant.She attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from Springs Industries as a seamstress.She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She is survived by three daughters, Myra Woods of Chester, Jane Gibson of Lancaster, SC and Jean Pyatte of Rock Hill, SC;four grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
