Isidro Muniz

Tabor City, NC: Isidro Muniz, 78, died Saturday August 30, 2014 at Loris Extended Care Center in Loris, SC. A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at New Horizon Baptist Worship Center, 11316 Joe Brown Hwy S., Tabor City, NC 28463 with Dr. Thomas L. Ward officiating. The family will receive friends in the sanctuary of the church the day of the service from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Interment will be held in the church cemetery. Mr. Muniz was born in Penuelas, Puerto Rico on January 3, 1936 and was a son of the late Romualdo Muniz and ValeriaGarcia Muniz. He attended the schools of Penuelas, Puerto Rico, was retired as a supervisor in commercial construction and was a member of New Horizon Baptist Worship Center, Tabor City, NC. He is the widower of Pilar Alicea Muniz. Mr. Muniz is survived by four daughters, Elida Robles (Jorge), Elsie Muniz and Omayra Muniz all of Newark, NJ and Milagros “Milly” Tyler (Richard) of Loris, SC; two sons, Isidro Muniz, Jr. and Noel Muniz (Patricia) all of Newark, NJ; thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Teo Muniz and one sister, Rosin Muniz both of Ponce, Puerto Rico.
