Chester, SC: Irene Wilkes Isenhower,93, died Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Uni Health, Rock Hill, SC.A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Barron Funeral Home with Reverend Steve Bishop officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 13, 2012 form 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A. M. at Barron Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Armenia United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Isenhower was born in Tombs County, GA on October 29, 1918. She was a daughter of the late R. H. Wilkes and Cindy Monroe Wilkes. She attended the schools of Tombs County, GA and was retired from J.P. Stevens Company as a weaver. Mrs. Isenhower was the widow of Thomas E. Isenhower. She is survived by one brother, Elmer Wilkes of Gainesville, GA; one sister, Mildred Allen of Texas; three grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and a daughter-in –law, Margaret Burnette of Chester, SC.
