Edgemoor, SC: Mrs. Ida Carol Dixon Lanier, 78, died Thursday, June 6, 2019 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC.The funeral will be 2:00 PM Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Lando Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Barrneau and Rev. Jim McClure officiating.The interment will be in Lando Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Lando Baptist Church and other times at the home. Born August 21, 1940 in Rock Hill, SC, Mrs. Lanier was the daughter of Coleman and Helen Thomas Dixon.She attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from Haddon House.Mrs. Lanier was of the Church of God faith.Carol was a friend to many and loved by all. She was preceded in death by her husband Forrest Allen Lanier, a son, Tracy Lanier, a daughter, Denise “Neese” Lanier, two brothers, Wild Bill Dixon and Ronnie “Cracker” Dixon. She is survived by two daughters, Leslie Bennett and Brittany Lanier both of Edgemoor, SC; grandchildren, Kaleb, Karlie and Kaden Love all of Edgemoor, SC; sister, Diane Dixon Stevens (Ken) of Rock Hill, SC;numerous nieces and nephews; an aunt, Shirley Dawkins of Richburg, SC and an uncle Michael Thomas of Rock Hill, SC.
