Chester Mr. Henry Lee Grant, Sr., 91, died Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Chester Regional Medical Center.A Graveside Service with Masonic rites will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 20, 2015 at Armenia United Methodist Church, Chester, with Rev. Clay Waldrip officiating.The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Barron Funeral Home. Mr. Grant was born December 2, 1923 in Chester, SC and was the son of the late Samuel L. Grant, Sr. and Juanita (Lee) Grant.He was a graduate of Chester High School and retired as owner of Lee Grant Construction.Mr. Grant was a member of First Baptist Church, Chester and Sandy River Masonic Lodge # 207 and was a founding member of the West Chester Fire Department. He is survived by his wife of over sixty-five years, Gennette (Rousey) Grant; two sons, Henry Lee ”Rabbit” Grant, Jr. (Mary) of Greenwood and Richard R. “Ricky” Grant (Lisa) of Chester; four grandchildren, Christy Hewitt of Spartanburg, Henry Lee “Trey” Grant of Greenwood, William “Will” Harris of Anderson,Michael Benjamin “Ben” Grant (Brittany) of Chester;seven great grandchildren, Christy Lake Hewitt, Elizabeth Lee Hewitt, Mary Elliott Hewitt, Haley Grant, William Harris Grant, Jr., Laken Grant and Katelyn Elizabeth Grant.Mr. Grant was preceded in death by two brothers, William Glenn Grant and Samuel Leard Grant, Jr. Memorials may be made to Sandy River Masonic Lodge, 1810 Grant Road, Chester, SC29706 or West Chester Fire Department, 1822 Ben’s Drive, Chester, SC29706 or First Baptist Church, 102 Church St., Chester, SC 29706.
