Helene Smith Young

Chester Mrs. Helene Smith Young, 78, died Thursday, September, 22, 2022 at Hospice and Community Care in Rock Hill,, SC. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM, Monday, September, 26, 2022 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Shaffer officiating. Interment will be private. Mrs. Young was born June 26, 1944 in Winnsboro, SC and was a daughter of the late William Lee Smith and Helen Virginia Melton. She was a graduate of the schools of Chester County and was a homemaker. Helene loved deep sea fishing and working in her yard and garden. She was member of First Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by two sons, Eddie Young (Marsha) and Danny Dove all of Chester, SC; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of over 35 years Edward Dunlap Young.
