Helen Carter Yarborough

Mrs. Helen Carter Yarborough, 91, died Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Chester Regional Nursing Center. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at New Hope United Methodist Church with the Reverend Lois Helms, Reverend Chris Snelgrove and Reverend David Sealy officiating. The Family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 Monday at Barron Funeral Home.Interment will be held in the church cemetery. Born October 10, 1920 in Chester County, Mrs. Yarborough was the daughter of the late David Lee Carter and Mattie Thelma Allen Carter. She attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from Gayle Mill of Springs Industries as a Spooler. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist, where she was the former Sunday School superintendent, member of the United Methodist Women, and a Member of the Choir. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Nancy D. Yarborough of Chester; a sister Minnie Lee of Chester; a son-in-law, Roger Price of Chester; Seven grandchildren, John D. Teague, Helen T. Owens, Delayne Yarborough, Leslie Jacobs, Alexa Jacobs, Shelby Price, and Brian Yarborough;sixteen great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. She was the Widow of Thomas Shelby Yarborough. Mrs. Yarborough was Preceded in death by a son, Shelby Joe Yarborough and a daughter, Alma T. Price.
