Harvey Wayne Mcwatters

Chester, SC: Harvey Wayne McWatters, 67,went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Chester Regional Medical Center. A Memorial Service will be held 5:00 PM Monday, November 6, 2017 at First Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Brian Howard and Reverend Jeff McWatters officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall of the church and other times at the home of Tommy and Dona McWatters, 1242 Lowrys Highway, Chester, SC 29706. A native of Chester, SC,Wayne was a son of the late Harvey Lee McWatters and Evelyn Mixon McWatters. He was member of First Church of the Nazarene, Chester, SC. Wayne worked part-time at the Good Samaritan Clinic in Chester. He will be remembered as an avid Gamecock fan and also enjoyed watching the Charlotte Hornets and the Charlotte Panthers, listening to Southern Gospel Music and spending time with his family and friends. In his younger years Wayne loved to play golf and go bowling. He was a former employee of Chester Electric Company where he worked with his father. He was also a former employee of the Chester Movie Theater, Schlegel Corporation and Allvac. Mr. McWatters is survived by his sister, Phyllis Elaine McWatters, Chester, SC; Tommy McWatters (Dona); aunts, Betty Youngblood and Arnice McWatters; special friends, Robert and Eula Guyton, Tammy and Salvador Carrillo and Judy and Jimmy McCarthy all of Chester, SC and his two loving pets “Brigette Bardot” and “Roscoe P. Coltrane”.He was preceded in death by two uncles, William Floyd McWatters and Norman Eugene Youngblood.
