Chester, SC Mr. Harry Marson Wolfe, Sr., 91, died Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at his son’s home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Barron Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Jim McClure officiating. Born June 21, 1926 in Chester, SC, Mr. Wolfe is a son of the late Arthur Wolfe and Beulah Ashley Wolfe.He attended the school of Chester County and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy having served during WWII in the Pacific Theater.Mr. Wolfe retired from Springs Industries after over 47 years of service and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of over sixty years, Shirley Childers Wolfe.Mr. Wolfe is survived by three children, Debbie Peay (Wayne) of Chester, SC, Terri Talbert (Johnnie) of Lake Wateree, SC, and Marty Wolfe (Lisa) of Chester, SC; five grandchildren, Eric Peay (Shanna) of Elgin, SC, Brandon Talbert (Anna) of Chester, SC, Scott Talbert (Wrenn) of Rock Hill, SC, Courtney Wolfe of Chester, SC, and Jason Taylor (Kayce) of Rock Hill, SC; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
