Chester Mr. Harold Rex Beasley, 64, died Thursday, April 20, 2017, at his home.Funeral services will beheld at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 23, 2017, at Barron Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Shaffer officiating.Interment will follow in Chester Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, April 22, at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Mr. Beasley was born September 11, 1952 in Chester, SC and was a son of the late Claude Beasley and Ruth Alexander Beasley.He was a graduate of the class of 1970 at Chester High School and retired from Campus Sportswear.Mr. Beasley was a member of Saluda St. Church of God where he served as choir director for 18 years and was active for many years in various organizations of the church before his health declined. He is survived by his wife, Frances Carolyn Shirley Beasley; one son, Chris Beasley of Chester; one daughter, Renee Beasley of Chester; two grandchildren, Tyler McCall Thompson and Faith Elizabeth Thompson; two sisters, Dean Brunson of Great Falls and Lois Miller of Chester; a brother-in-law, Robert Shirley and wife Margaret of Chester; a sister-in-law, Carol Beasley of Chester; several nieces and nephews; and a special aunt and uncle, Doris and Gary Crouch.Mr. Beasley was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Beasley.
