Mr. Grover Cleveland "Cleve" Boulware, Jr., died Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the Chester Regional Nursing Center in Chester.The funeral service will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Arthur Vick officiating. The interment willbe in Chester Memorial Gardens. Born in Chester, SC, Mr. Boulware was the son of the late Grover Cleveland Boulw are, Sr. and Daphne Smith Boulware Helms.He attended the schools of Chester County and was a retired Superintendent with the Salvation Army Camp Walter Johnson in Denton, NC.He was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and a former volunteer fireman for the Healing SpringsVolunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad in Denton, NC. He is survived by one daughter, Denise C. Lawson and her husband Mike of Chester; four grandchildren, Amanda L. Freeman of Richburg, Michael C. Lawson of Pittsburg, PA, Carli B. Dent of Thomasville, NC, and Grover C. "Corey" Boulware IV of Denton, NC; three great grandchildren, Laci Ahrens of Thomasville, NC, Jordan Freeman of Richburg, SC and Gabrielle Boulware of Denton, NC.He was preceded in death by his wife Harriette Caston Boulware and a son Grover Cleveland "Hut" Boulware, III. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester.
