Mr. Grady Jones, Jr., 86, died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Chester Regional Nursing Center in Chester, SC.The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Chester with Reverend Clay Waldrip officiating.The interment will be in Chester Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 am Wednesday in the Foyer of First Baptist Church. Born October 18, 1926 in Piedmont, SC, Mr. Jones was a son of the late Grady Jones, Sr. and Bernice Bagwell Jones.He was a graduate of Piedmont High School and the SC Criminal Justice Academy and wasretired from the SC Highway Patrol as a Trooper and Chester County as aCity Judge.Mr. Jones also taught at the SC Criminal Justice Academy. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Chester and theAgoga Sunday School Class and also Chester Gideon Camp. He is survived by his wife of thirty-one years, Evelyn Sealy Jones; two sons, Terry M. Jones and his wife Patricia of Chester and Kenny Jones of Spartanburg, SC; one step-daughter, Patricia D. Nichols and her husband Marvin of Matthews, NC; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Lawless and her husband David of Piedmont, SC.Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Holiday Jones and a son, Michael Jones.
