Chester Mrs. Grace Massey Shirley, 90, died Monday, April 27, 2020 at her home.All services are private. Mrs. Shirley was born January 8, 1930 in Chester County, SC and was a daughter of the late Pete Massey and Odessa Harris Massey.She attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from Faith Baptist Church Daycare Nursery as a supervisor.Grace loved to fish and go to auctions.She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, John R. “Robert” Shirley, Jr. (Margaret) of Chester; one daughter, Carolyn Beasley of Chester; four grandchildren, Shan “Tony” Shirley (Melanie) of Chester, Robert Scott Shirley (Lisa) of Blackstock, Chris Beasley of Chester and Renee Beasley of Chester; seven great grandchildren, Tony, Thomas, Rachel, Taylor, Dustin, Mac and Faith; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special furry friend “Toby”.Mrs. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Shirley, Sr.; two brothers, John Massey and Clio Massey; and two sisters, Edna Moore and Flora Mae Massey.
