CHESTER: Mrs. Grace Wages Ferguson Lindsay, 85, died Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at her residence.The funeral service will be 4:00 PM Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Patrick Roddey and Rev. Woody Oliver officiating and the interment will follow at ChesterMemorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester, SC. Born February 26, 1933 in Chester County, SC, Mrs. Lindsay was the daughter of the late Charles Eugene and Mary Henry Wages . She was a graduate ofLewisville High School and was retired from Founders Federal Credit Union.Grace especially enjoyed cooking and gardening.She loved her family and most importantly she loved and served her Lordand Savior Jesus Christ.Mrs. Lindsay was the widow of Melvin H. Ferguson and Thomas B. Lindsay.She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Henry, Shorty and Kenneth Wages. She is survived by four children, Wayne Ferguson (Bobbie) of Great Falls, SC, Stella F. Wishert, Cathy F. Jones (Joe) and Julie F. Ligon (Joe) all of Chester, SC; seven grandchildren;thirteen great grandchildren; one sister, Ann W. Wright of Chester and one brother, Richard Wages (Kay) of Leslie, SC. The family is truly grateful to Kindred Hospice and to her caregivers Kate O’Neill, Nancy Ford, Debra Brice, Beth Melton and Veleka Mayfield.
