Richburg Mrs. Gloria Felkel Ross, 75, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday morning, October 21, 2017, with family gathered around her.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Chester with Rev. Clay Waldrip and Rev. Corey Wilson officiating.A graveside service and interment will follow at 3:30 PM on Tuesday at Eastside Cemetery, Rockingham, NC with Rev. Corey Wilson officiating.The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM on Tuesday at First Baptist Church, 102 Church St., Chester, SC. Mrs. Ross was born July 9, 1942, in Rockingham, NC and was a daughter of the late Harold Felkel and Lillian Yates Caulder.She was retired from Springs Industries as a workman’s compensation administrator.Mrs. Ross was a member of First Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, William P. Ross; her children, Susan Killian (Dave), Barbara Suggs, Sherri Chavis, David Ledwell (Tracy) and Cindy Newton (David); fourteen grandchildren. David Killian, Stephanie Jackson, Travis Killian, Brooke Tucker, Erin Gallagher, Kayla Killian, Caleb Ledwell, Olivia Gallagher, Kandler Kempton, Hunter Ledwell, Payton Ledwell, Zach Newton, Heather Gaffen, and John Ross Newton; seven great grandchildren; and five sisters, Carol Deese (Tim), Phyllis Whitehead, Patricia Odom (Harris), Terri Robinson (Joe) and Carri Moser (Joe).Mrs. Ross was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kristin Killian and three brothers, Ronnie Felkel, Ernest Felkel and Bobby Felkel.
