Chester Mrs. Gloria Knox Dove, 65, died Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at her home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Barron Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. John Epps and Rev. Joey Beasley officiating.The interment will follow at Chester Memorial Gardens. Born December 12, 1951 in Chester, SC, Mrs. Dove was the daughter of the late Wallace Eugene Knox and Addie Tadlock Knox.She was a graduate of Chester High School and retired from South State Bank in Rock Hill, SC, and was formerly employed with Spratts Savings and Loan, Chester, SC.Mrs. Dove attended Cool Branch Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. She is survived by her husband of over 46 years, Joseph Wylie “Joe” Dove, Jr. of Chester, SC; one daughter, Michele Dove Gainey of Rock Hill, SC; one son, Bryan J. Dove of Rock Hill, SC; two grandchildren, Madelyn Brooke Dove and Jack Joseph Gainey both of Rock Hill, SC; and her sister-in-law, Terry Dove Jones of Chapin, SC.
