Glenn Phillip Tallent

Chester Mr. Glenn Phillip Tallent, 84, died Thursday, November 11, 2021 at MUSC Health Columbia. There will be no services held at this time. Mr. Tallent was born February 15, 1937 in York, SC and was a son of the late Zenith Tallent and Laura Brindle White.He was a graduate through the GED Program before retiring from the US Navy. For many years Glenn owned “The Corner” an ice cream parlor in the Chester Mall. He was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and a member of Hejaz Shrine. He is survived by his wife of 30 years Frances Varnadore Tallent; step-son Herman Brown, II of Chester, SC; grandson , Brandon Brown of Rock Hill, SC; sister, Laura Crow of Harrison, Arkansas ; two brothers, Eber White of Alabama and Julius Tallent of York, SC; numerus nieces and nephews.
