Camden Mrs. Glenda Ann Brakefield, 60, died Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at her home.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 27, 2020, at Armenia United Methodist Church cemetery with Rev. Michael Shaffer officiating. Mrs. Brakefield was born January 22, 1960 in Chester, SC and was a daughter of Hazel Glenn Brakefield and Peggy Bland Brakefield.She was a graduate of Chester High School, Winthrop College and USC-Columbia.Mrs. Brakefield was a retired school teacher having taught in Georgetown, SC, Chester, SC, Boling Springs, SC and various other towns in SC.Glenda was an avid reader, gardener and yoga practitioner.She was a member of Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church in Camden, SC. In addition to her parents, she is survived by one son, Leonard Anderson of Chapin, two grandchildren, Aiden Anderson and Carlie Anderson both of Chapin; one sister, Cindy Johnson (Mike) of Lexington; two nephews, Jay Grant (Alyssa) of Mt. Pleasant and Byron Grant of Portland, Oregon.Mrs. Brakefield was preceded in death by a daughter, Elyse Anderson.
