Gerald Melvin Revis

Mr. Gerald Melvin Revis, 77, died Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC . A graveside will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Chester Memorial Gardens with Rev. Rick Sturgis officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside and other times at the home. Born September 5, 1936 in Pickens, SC, Mr. Revis was a son of the late Claude C. and Nita Lee Townsend Revis.He attended Sullivan School in Danville, VA and was retired from Martin-Marietta Rock Quarry. He is survived by his wife of over fifty-nine years Faye Stallings Revis; three sons, Donnie Revis and Gary Revis both of Sharon, SC and Brian Revis of Chester, SC; one daughter, Cathy Revis McCumbee and her husband Carl of McConnells, SC; two grandchildren, Samantha Martinez of Ft. Bragg, NC and Adam Revis of Sharon, SC; three great grandchildren, Brittany Revis of Sharon, SC and Natalie Martinez and Jace Martinez of Ft. Bragg, NC; one sister, Marcell Moore of Danville, VA; two brothers, Allen Revis of Danville, VA and Leroy Revis of Lexington, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.He was precede in death by a grandson Donnie Revis, Jr.
