George Lewis Lee

Blackstock:Mr. George Lewis Lee, 75, died Saturday July 13, 2019 with his family by his side. A Funeral Service will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Barron Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Devinney officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, July 15, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barron Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mr. Lee was born in Chester, SC on January 18, 1944 and was a son of the late George Earl Lee and Mary Alice Wagers Lee. He attended Blackstock Schools and was the retired owner and operator of George Lee Logging and he also worked with Penske. George was an avid dirt track racer and he enjoyed dancing at Blackstock Gym. George loved the outdoors. George was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Spivey Lee; two sisters, Mary Katherine Carpenter and Lillian Keisler and his brother Carpenter Lee. He is survived by two daughters, Ronda Lee of Richburg, SC and Cathy Lee Miller (Jeff) of Rock Hill, SC; three grandchildren, Lewis Loftin of Chester, SC ,Chelsey Miller (fiance’ Andrew)and Chase Miller all ofRock Hill, SC; brother, John Robert “Bobby” Lee of Blackstock , SC and George’s companion, Mary Welch of Chester, SC.
