George Albert "Eric" Wood

Elgin Mr. George Albert “Eric” Wood , 43, died Thursday, September 13, 2018, at his home. A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Pelham officiating. Interment will follow at Chester Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Barron Funeral Home. He was born January 10, 1975 in Shelby, NC and was a son of Eddie and Margie Adams Wood. He attended the schools of Spring Valley High School in Columbia, SC, and formerly worked in the construction field anda member of Lake Wateree Baptist Church.Eric loved spending time outside and was an avid hunter and fishermanand a member of Sawneys Creek Hunt Club. He was also a member of Blythewood Masonic Lodge # 395 and was also a Jamil Shriner. In addition to his parents, Margie and Eddie Wood he is survived by three daughters, Savanah Rayne Illingworth of Cross Hill, Erica Kalie Wood of Lugoff, Cameron Alexis Wood of Elgin; one sister, Michelle Wood Hydrick ( Darell) of Elgin; one brother, Quinton Wood of Elgin; two grandchildren, Rylee Stone and Brayden Stone both of Elgin; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
