CHESTER Mr. George W. Banks, 75, died Friday, December 6, 2013 at his residence.The funeral will be 4:00 PM Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Leeds Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Black officiating.The interment will be in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Leeds Baptist Church. Born February 22, 1938 in Taylor, New York, Mr. Banks was the son of the late Leo Banks and Arlene Ford Banks Daily.He attended the school of Cincinnatus Central High School in Cincinnatus, New York.He was the owner and operator of George Banks Trucking.He was a member of Otselic Masonic Lodge, Otselic, New York and a member of Leeds Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Campbell Banks of Canandaigua, New York and beloved friend Karen Walker of Chester, SC; four daughters, Brenda Chaffee and Karen Dewitt (Lee) all of Homer, New York, Sue Ellen Smith(Travis) of Arnett, OK and Kimberly Zacharias(David) of Canandaigua, New York; two sons, Todd Banks and Martin Sharp of Homer, New York; twelve grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Donalou Law of Cincinatus, New York.
