CHESTER - Mr. Gary Louis Wissinger, 67, died Friday, March 22, 2013, at Providence Hospital in Columbia. The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, March 25, 2013, at First Baptist Church of Chester, with the Revs. Darrell Rooks and Clay Waldrip officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester, S.C. Mr. Wissinger was born March 25, 1945, in Flint, Mich., and was a son of the late Russell Wissinger and Marguerite Schepperley Wissinger. He was a graduate of Central High School and attended Mott Community College both in Flint, Mich., and was retired co-owner and operator of David Lee & Sons Vending. Mr. Wissinger was a member of Cedarwood Community Church in Greenwood and a former member of First Church of the Nazarene in Chester where he was choir director for a number of years. He is survived by his wife of more than 41 years, Diane Lee Wissinger; one son, Chris Wissinger and wife, Alyson of Richburg; one daughter, Mollie Hawkins and husband, Mark of Simpsonville; his mother-in-law, Ruth Hefner Lee of Chester; seven grandchildren, Haley and Hunter Wissinger of Thaxton, Va., Ben and Abby Wissinger of Fort Mill, S.C., and Saunders Hawkins, Guy Louis Hawkins and McCown Hawkins, all of Simpsonville. Mr. Wissinger was preceded in death by a son, Tim Wissinger. Memorials may be made to Cedarwood Community Church, P.O. Box 49518, Greenwood, SC 29649 or First Baptist Church, P.O.
