Mrs. Gail Elaine West Lees, 71, died Tuesday, July 21, 2026. All services are private.

Mrs. Lees was born February 19, 1955 in Wilmington, DE and was the daughter of the late Robert Howard West and Carolyn June Gayler. . She attended the schools of Wilmington, DE, and retired from AAA Travel Club as a communication Specialist. Gail enjoyed gardening, painting and watercolors, oil painting and pencil drawing. . She loved animals and especially dogs, she enjoyed playing the piano and she had a great sense of humor. Gail had an interest in science and nature and learning to know people. She made strangers her friends and sought to help people as much as she could. She enjoyed doing good deeds for others.

She is survived by her stepsister, Linda Mastro of Eastern MD and her cousin and caregiver Judith Yearicks of Chester, SC and other cousins: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her stepmother Lorraine West; sister, Sharon Gibbons her grandparents and other extended family.
