Fred "Freddie" Collins Wishert, Jr.

Mr. Fred "Freddie" Collins Wishert, Jr. 73, died Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at his home. A memorial service will be held 5:00 PM, Sunday July 16, 2023 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Shaffer officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Barron Funeral Home. Mr. Wishert was born June 27, 1950 in Chester, SC and was a son of the late Fred C. Wishert, Sr. and Mary Pittman Wishert. He was a graduate of High School through the GED program and attended Central Piedmont Technical College. Freddie was a veteran of the US Army. His love of having horses as a young boy gave him his appreciation for western movies and western novels as an adult. As a young adult he enjoyed Drag Racing as his hobby of choice. He spent most of his career in the Food Industry and was also Owner/Operator of Wisherts Produce. Freddie is survived by two sons, Collins Wishert (Nicole) and Matthew H. Wishert (Lenna); six grandchildren, Payton, Madison, McKinley, Ada Beth, Wilson and Azzie; one brother, Doug Wishert of Chester, SC; two sisters, Elaine Wishert Kendrick of Chester, SC and Jane Wishert Smith of NC.
