Fred Davis "Curly" Roof

CHESTER: Mr. Fred Davis “Curly” Roof, 90, died Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Chester Regional Nursing Center. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Monday, June 27, 2016 at the First Church of the Nazarene. The funeral service will be 3:00 Monday, June 27, 2016 at the First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Brian Howard officiating.The interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Born June 14, 1926 in Greenville, SC, Mr. Roof was the son of the late George Frazier Roof and Clara Brown Roof.He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-five years Vera Conner Roof. He attended the schools of Greenville and Chester Counties.He was a veteran of the US Navy having served during WWII and was a retired supervisor from Springs Industries.Mr. Roof was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. He was survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, 182 Pinckney Street, Chester, SC 29706.
