Mr. Fred Connor, 77, died Friday, May 7, 2010 at Chester Regional Medical Center in Chester. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PMMonday, May 10, 2010 at Evergreen Cemetery with Reverend Irvin Plowden, Jr. officiating. Born April 10, 1933 in Chester County, SC, Mr. Connor was a son of the late James Ervin Connor and Susie Thomas Connor.He attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from Lee Grant Construction and also worked as a self-employed carpenter.He was a lifetime member of Capers Chapel United Methodist Church.He was the widower of Mary Ragsdale Connor. Mr. Connor is survived one brother Ervin ?Shorty? Connor of Chester, SC; two sisters, Mary C. ?Coot? Williams and Frances C. Strait both of Chester; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. The family will receive friends from 4:00 ? 8:00 PM Sunday at the home of his niece Kay Smith, 1840 Lowrys Highway, Chester.
