Frances Jane Weir Wright

Mrs. Frances Jane Weir Wright, 79, died Sunday, September 6, 2026 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Thursday, September 10, 2026 at Hopewell ARP Church with Rev. Dwight Pearson and Buzzy Elder officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at Barron Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wright was born July 15, 1947 in Chester, SC and was the daughter of the late James Watt Weir, Jr and Emily Cherry Phillips. She was a graduate of Chester High School and Queens College in Charlotte, NC and retired from State Farm Insurance and was the owner and operator of Hickory Ridge Farm. Mrs. Wright was a member of Hopewell ARP Church where she was actively involved in the ministry of the church and also served on the cemetery committee. Frankie loved her dogs and cows. She was also known for her cheerful giving and willingness to help others.

She is survived by two sons, Jamie Milllis (Lori) of Blackstock, SC and Benji Wright (Hannah) of York, SC; ten grandchildren, Mckenzie Martin (Kenneth) of Lancaster, SC, Sydney Krieg (Randy) of Charlotte, A.J. Millis of Prosperity, SC, Whitney Houston (Alex) of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Bailee Mobley (Josh) of Chester, SC, Brianna Dyer (Jake) of Chester, SC. Faith Autry (Trent) of Chester, SC, Elizabeth Wiggins of York, SC, Sophia Wright of York, SC and Lillian Wright of York, SC; thirteen great-grandchildren.
