Frances Bass Wilson

Union, SC: Frances Bass Wilson, 81, died Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Oakmont of Union in Union, SC. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, October 28, 2012 at Barron Funeral Home with Reverend Wayne Cooke officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 27, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barron Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Chester Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Wilson was born in Chester, SC on November 11, 1931. She was a daughter of the late John Joe Bass and Carrie Lue Feaster Bass. Mrs. Wilson attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from Capitol Department Stores in Sumter, SC as a buyer. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her guardian daughter, Jeanne Prince and her husband John of Sumter, SC; two grandchildren, Jennifer Hile of Columbia, SC and John D. Prince, III of Sumter, SC; one brother, Wylie Bass of Chester, SC ; one sister, Sarah H. Sistrunk of Carlisle, SC and numerous nieces and nephews.
