Chester Mrs. Frances “Sister Beam” Mayben, 74, died Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 24, at Barron Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Milton Smith and Rev. Tim Foster officiating.Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:45 PM on Saturday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Mrs. Mayben was born October 12, 1938 in Rock Hill and was a daughter of the late Robert T. Beam and Annie Bell Horne Beam.She graduated from the Chester County Schools in 1958 and was retired from Springs Eureka Textiles. She is survived by her husband, Robert Mayben; two sons, Tim Mayben and wife Tiffany of Chester and Billy Mayben and wife Laura of York; one daughter, Judy Spencer and husband Lance of Chester; seven grandchildren, Robert Stanley Widner, Justin Widner, Casey Mayben, Brittany Marsh, Turner Mayben, Ashley Varnadore, and Dani Wade; and four great grandchildren.
