Frances Hyatt Burton

CHESTER, SC: Mrs. Frances Hyatt Burton, 94, died Thursday, January 12, 2017 at her home.The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Trinity Presbyterian Church and other times at 968 Davis Drive, Chester.The funeral service will be 3:00 Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Trinity Presbyterian Church.The interment will be in Chester Memorial Gardens. Born August 10, 1922 in Chester, Mrs. Burton was a daughter of the late Edward Y. and Janie Gibson Hyatt.She attended the schools of Chester County and was formerly employed with the SchlegelCorporation with twenty-six years of service.Mrs. Burton was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.In addition to her parents Mrs. Burton was preceded in death by her husband Otis Andrew Burton of over seventy-one years who died December 27, 2016; two brothers, J.T. Hyatt and Edward Hyatt and five sisters, Lois and Dorothy Hyatt, Ruth Cannon, Amanda Burton and Evelyn Burton. She is survived by her son, Jerry L. Burton, Sr. and his wife Elaine of Chester; two grandsons, Lee Burton and his wife Misty of Lexington and Andy Burton of Chester and granddaughter, Jan Raines and her husband Barry of Lexington, SC and seven great grandchildren, Tradd, Jackson, Hampton, Ava, Andrew, Graci and Mac. The family would like to thank the many wonderful caregivers, Brooke Shackelford, Winniford Bennett and Janice Wade.
