Chester Mr. Floyd Lee “Shakey” Gunn, 60, died Saturday, May 25, 2019, at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill.Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at Old Purity Cemetery with Rev. Rick Wheeler officiating.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Mr. Gunn was born August 21, 1958 in York County, SC and was a son of the late Dexter Lee Gunn and Nellie Canty Gunn.He was a graduate of Rock Hill High School, was a career truck driver and also worked as a heavy equipment operator.Mr. Gunn also workedfor Virginia Chemicals and Williamette Corporation.He enjoyed dirt track racing and carp fishing and was an avid hunter.Shakey also loved animals and enjoyed raising many. He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Robin Wood Gunn; three children, Michelle Wilson (Chad), Paul Gunn (Janie) and Floyd Lee Gunn, Jr. all of Chester; eleven grandchildren, Brittany Darby (Blake), Hannah Darby (Robert), Breleigh Terry, Chais Wilson, Jaisline Wilson, Chanster Wilson, Cristian Gonzalez, Marisa Gonzalez, Eragon Higuera, Damioen Gunn and Dewaun Barber; two great grandchildren, Rhylei Stephens and Sailor Stephens; one brother, Rick Gunn (Patty) of Edgemoor; five sisters, Mary Gunn of Rock Hill, JoAnn Moore (Roger) of Sharon, Wanda Rabon of York, Lucille Farris (Brian) of York and Angie Gunn of Rock Hill; and his cousins, David Gunn (Nancy) and Nancy Jane Gunn whom he loved as his brother and sister.Mr. Gunn was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Gunn.
