Florence Olivia Tibbs Wilkey

Florence Olivia Tibbs Wilkey, 82, died Thursday, December 19, 2024, at MUSC Health Chester Nursing Center.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 27, 2024, at Greenlawn Cemetery in Great Falls with Rev. Andy Logan officiating.

Mrs. Wilkey was born July 20, 1942 in Charlotte, NC and was a daughter of the late John Herbert Tibbs and Frances Mae Bartley Tibbs.  She was a graduate of Great Falls High School and USC-Lancaster.  Olivia retired as a Registered Nurse having worked most of her career at Springs Memorial Hospital.  She was talented in making candles, stained glass, painting and many other artsy skills.  She was an accomplished cook.  Olivia attended First Baptist Church in Great Falls.

She is survived by three sons, David Yount of Rock Hill, John Melton (Mary) of Edgemoor and Andy Logan (Carolyn) of Chester; four grandchildren, Chris Miller of Rock Hill, Levi Melton of Lake Wylie, Isaac Logan and Ian Logan both of Chester; two brothers, John Tibbs of Great Falls and Harry David Tibbs of Augusta, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
