Mrs. Eva Mae Rubbins Ferrell, 90, died Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Chester Regional Nursing Center.A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Evergreen Cemetery with Rev.Michael Shaffer officiating.The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 10:45 Saturday at Barron Funeral Home and other times at the home of Jerry and Cooter King, 529 Ferrell Avenue, Chester. Born January 15, 1921 in York County, SC, Mrs. Ferrell was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Boykin Robbins.She attended the schools of York County. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church. She was a widow of George Roland Ferrell. She is survived by two sons, James Ferrell of Myrtle Beach, SC and Harvey Ferrell of Chester; one daughter, Volenious "Cooter" King of Chester, SC; nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son George Ferrell, Jr. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, 710 Meadowbrook Road, Chester, SC 29706.
