CHESTER, SC Mrs. Ethel Valaree Faulkner Wagner, 85, formerly of Faulkner Road, Carlisle, SC, died Monday, November 7, 2016 at the Chester Regional Nursing Center. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Cool Branch Baptist Church.The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Cool Branch Baptist Church with Rev. John Epps officiating.The interment will be in the church cemetery. Born January 26, 1931 in Chester County, SC, Mrs. Wagner was the daughter of the late James Franklin Faulkner and Ethel Mae Levister Faulkner.She was a graduate of Monticello High School as Salutatorian and was a recipient of an academic scholarship.Mrs. Wagner was also a star basketball player for Monticello High School.She was a retired supervisor from Oxfords Manufacturing.Mrs. Wagner was a member of Cool Branch Baptist where she was the Women’s Sunday School teacher and a member of the Women’s Missionary Union, a choir member and a member of Eastern Star Coleman Chapter 22. Mrs. Faulkner was the widow of Paul S. Wagner. She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Bouknight (David) and Sandra Miller both of Carlisle, SC and Paula Baughman (Tim) of Aiken, SC; six grandchildren, Julie Varnadore, Dave Bouknight, John-Paul Miller, Sam Miller, Hannah Baughman and Carly Baughman; three great-grandchildren, Rhianna Varnadore, Brooks Ann Bouknight and Cierra Roberts.
