Raleigh, NC Mrs. Ethel T. Sanders, 91, formerly of Chester died November 19, 2008 at Rex Healthcare Center in Raleigh, NC. The funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Armenia United Methodist Church with Rev. Harry Ginhart and Rev. Fant Steel officiating.Interment will be in the church cemetery. Born in Sumter, SC on March 30, 1917, Mrs. Sanders was the daughter ofAlex and Mary Troublefield.She was retired from Chester County Schools as an Elementary Teacherhaving taught for over forty-six years andfomer Chester County Teacher of the Year.She was a graduate of Sumter High School, Limestone College and Winthrop College.After retirement she was a volunteer with Chester County Schools andtaught Adult Education. Mrs Sanders was a very big contributor to the Chester Soil and Water Conservation District for many years.She was conservation minded all of her life.She taught conservation to her students and has honored many people with her generosity to the district.She was honored with a plaque by the district at their annual affiliate banquet in 2006 for her years of service. The commissioners of the soil and water conservation district acknowledge her many contributions. She is survived by a daughter Nancy Sanders Thorne of Raleigh, NC and preceded in death by a son Thomas Mabry ?Tommy?
